Idilia Foods, a leading company in the Spanish food sector, views environmental protection and the fight against climate change as an integrated process in all its activities and strategic for the company's continuity.

The Management of Idilia Foods prioritizes the development of this Environmental Policy through the Environmental Management System, whose main objective is to provide the commitment to carry out our activity within the parameters of sustainable development, maintaining control and management of the environmental aspects of the relevant stakeholders, especially those that are most significant.

To this end, Idilia Foods has established and promotes the following basic principles, which must govern all the organization's actions. Active and present leadership from:

  • Management as an inherent component of their hierarchical responsibility, who is responsible for leading environmental programs, ensuring the application of standards throughout the chain of command, and supporting other relevant roles.
  • Definition of environmental management objectives and performance supervision to achieve the continuous improvement of the environmental management system, with the maximum participation of the entire organization.
  • Compliance with legal requirements and other requirements, as well as with internal procedures and instructions.
  • Ensure the protection of the environment by working respectfully, preventing pollution, and minimizing the environmental effects produced as a consequence of the activities we carry out.
  • Promote the implementation of the best available technologies that contribute to climate change mitigation and enable us to minimize our footprint on the environment and ensure the sustainable use of natural resources.
  • Establish indicators and reporting systems that allow for an objective understanding of the environmental impact of our activities.
  • Promotion of appropriate and continuous training, information, and motivation programs that allow all employees to understand both the risks and impacts derived from their work, as well as their importance and how to prevent them, including the improvement suggestions proposed by them in order to foster continuous improvement.
  • Define specific and measurable objectives and goals within an environmental program, to be reviewed at least once a year based on their achievement.
  • Respect nature and biodiversity in the environments where the centers are located.
